This cast was molded from the authentic original, loaned to Occpaleo in 2011.  It was found in Butler County, Mo, and is an excellent example of the uncommon variety called the "St. Louis" type of Clovis.  Clovis Culture dates to around 12 to 13,000 years ago.   This point has beautiful flaking and shows multiple fluting on both sides.  It was made in a black chert,  and was flaked very thin as well.   The point is 3 and 3/8th inches long and is 1 and 1/2 inches wide.  (COA Stermer Western Typology)(cast copyright Occpaleo 2018)
