This LITHIC CAST was made for the Smithsonian's Paleoindian Lab in the early 2000's for a conference reference collection.  Cast measures 90mm long and 35mm wide. There are several left over to offer here, in unused new condition ready for reference study.  The Dent site is important in North American archaeology as a rare example of Clovis Culture tools found in association with Mammoth remains.  The site was discovered in 1932 in Weld County, Co, along the South Platte River. Excavations found clovis tools in layers dating to around 11,000 years ago, which is the late period for Clovis Ice Age culture.
